Little Miss Social-bug

Well, Beth was out and about again this weekend.  She attended the SPCA March in April and did the 1.5 mile walk around Druid Hill Lake with her foster bro’s and sis and lot’s of other 4 and 2 legged friends.  She did really well.  She was also a huge draw to our booth at the festival.  Lot’s of people came by to see her and she just loved all the attention.   Next weekend come look for Beth at the Towson Petsmart for our monthly Meet & Greet!

Want to meet Beth?!!?

Beth will be at the SPCA March in April this Sunday the 20th of April at Druid Hill Park and also at the Towson PetSmart on Putty Hill Ave the following Sunday the 27th.  Come meet Beth and all the other greyhounds that have found their forever homes.

MS walk

Today Beth did the MS Walk with us and she did great.  It was a 5K and she did it with ease.  (She had been in training for it though - a little further walk every day) ;o)  Now she and her foster brothers and sister are sleeping it off — that was a perfect time to dremel their nails!!!  So - we did and she had no problem with it :o)

steps………NO problem!!!

Beth is totally fine with the “big” steps now!!  She’s up and down them with ease now!  This little girl is lookin’ good!!! :o)

did someone say TREAT!!!

Yep - when we say TREAT all 4 greyhounds come running (Beth and her fur-foster bros and sis)  In our house, you have to work for your food :o) - so Beth has learned to sit for her treat.  It’s a beautiful sight too - nothin’ better than an eagerly awaiting greyhound sitting patiently for her treat.

She has also gotten more comfortable and is getting the most out of her retirement - she is perfecting the saying “45 mph couch potato”!!!!  :o)  She also likes to take the big dog bed (girls!)

Stuffies are becoming her favorite pass time as well - she has a few favorites and will search them out when we put the toys away during the day.

Beth is going to make a family very happy!!

Another greyt night with Beth!  She is totally sleeping through the night in her crate and only starts to whin when it’s time to go out in the morning.  She takes her time when pottying though - first the pee and then the rest after walking around and coming back to the door a few times - just give her the time and she’ll be a good girl and take care of all her business outside.  :o)  Beth is starting to come out of her shell and is jumping around and starting to become interested in stuffies.  She is truly a greyt little dog!!

Beth has been off the track for a few days now and has already been to a Meet & Greet, hung out with 3 cats, 3 kids, and many other greyhounds, and has gone on a few walks.  She is loving retirement!!!  Beth is such a sweet dog.  She has had no issues with the cats and get’s along very well with her foster brothers and sister.  She loves to get hugs and kisses and will put her head against you to get more :o)  Potty time has been a huge success and she will even let you know when she needs to go outside.  We’re working on steps and teaching her all her manners.  Beth is looking forward to finding her forever home :o)
